Recent Hilton Santo Domingo Review: "Title says it all! Great place, nicely maintained hotel,the executive lounge worth the upgrade. I got a free suite upgrade because I have a Gold VIP Hilton card and they treated me very nicely. Hotel is next to the water - HOWEVER IT IS NOT A BEACH, YOU CAN JUST WALK BY IT BUT CAN'T LAY DOWN OR GET SOME TAN - and next to many casinos. Women are very  accessible from those casinos and have some clubs around too. There are only 2 disadvantages: - Hotel is nowhere near by a beach where you can lay down... the closest is 45 minutes away (Boca Chica) - Staff barely speaks any English. If you want something complicated then it might not worth the effort. On the other hand, a very nice place to stay with great amenities. 24/7 gym, basic but nice pool with bar and people are nice."

Santo Domingo de Guzman (known as “Santo Domingo”), straddles the Dominican Republic’s Ozama River where it flows into the Caribbean.
